Insight regarding the process of Integration:
In the beginning of this project I noted that according to Daniel Siegel, Integration is a “fruit salad, not a smoothie” and this is a process of differentiation and re-linking. What’s become more clear is that the space between differentiation and re-linking is riddled with uncertainty, the liminal space, and is an essential part of holistic integration.
For me that showed up in many ways, and was captured throughout in doodles and pages written in my journal. A slow process unfolded getting me closer to the final art piece I wanted to create.
